19th December 2009 the installation of Bro Dave Warren, OBE for his second term in office took place this evening along with his office bearers for 2010. there was a few changes made to the various offices, some taking office for the first time, which is always good to see, and others moving up from their previous positions.
The installation was carried out by PM, Bro Donald Chambers, and has to be said that he carried out his duty in the most excellent manner, and he was assisted by PM, PPGM, Bro Hugh Manson who added his vast experience to the proceedings.
After his re-installation Bro Warren thanked his Installing Masters, and, also for the excellent manner in which they conducted their duty's, he also went on to thank all the brethren for their support and assistance over the last twelve months, and hopefully that his next term in office would be as fulfilling. He also thanked the brethren that helped him with the various jobs and general upkeep of the Lodge during the close season, this also included local contractors that carried out work free of charge.
Bro Warren then said that he was looking forward to the new Lodge floor being laid, hopefully this would take place during the next summer break, and he thanked PM, Bro James Moodie for his efforts to make this possible, he then invited all in attendance that would like to stay for dinner to join him in the harmony room.
At this point various brethren stood up in turn to congratulate Bro Warren, first for the excellent job done during his first term in office, and also to thank him, and wish him continued success during his second term.
Downstairs we were treated to an excellent three course meal, followed by tea, coffee and mint chocolates, this was served up by the Ladies of the, O.E.S and who gave up their time to continue to support this special occasion in the Masonic calendar and must be congratulated for doing so.
Later the Brethren continued to enjoy the evening of entertaining and informative toasts, replies and harmony.

The Installation of Office-bearers, and The Festival of St.John The Evangelist's Dinner.
ie. 27th December . Should this fall on a Saturday or Sunday it is put off until the next 'working day.'This years Festival of St.John took place on the 19th, Dec. The reason for this change off date can be found in the Lodge minuets, and was agreed upon by the brethren.
It should also be noted that pipers were not used to call on the Master Elect, or the Past Masters of the Lodge. A tradition that dates back to 1828. I am sure that the reason for this can also be found in the Lodge Minuet book.
