Without giving me a "lecture" or quoting from texts - just speaking from the heart; why do men enjoy being masons? What makes them spend time away from loved ones (and diy/gardening jobs!) attending meetings?  Even if you just reply with a one word answer - that would be great. Truth be told, the whole set-up confuses/bemuses and sometimes bugs me to death

Just thought I would ask, are any of you going down to Edinburgh tomorrow.  I am getting dragged down, kicking and screaming to the Supreme Chapters Installation meal held within Freemasons Hall.  Started off me thinking I was getting a shopping trip to Edinburgh, should have know by now that a "meeting" would have been involved!!

I was in Edinburgh last Monday..didn't have time to visit Grand Lodge..maybe next time. What a nightmare trying to get round the City, road works everywhere, because of the new tram network..

It may sound trite, but I very much enjoy being part of a worldwide Fraternity, and I have been privileged to have visited the Grand Lodge in Edinburgh as well as attend Lodge in Glasgow ....
