St.Peter's Blog Page Post New Entry

RWM..Bro. Dave Warren

Posted by lodge284 on November 7, 2010 at 1:24 AM

RWM of St Peter's.  Brother Dave Warren was taken into hospital.

On Wednesday 3rd Nov after falling over in his house, Daves wife fearing for his health phoned the ambulance service who promptly arrived within ten minutes. After making Dave as comfortable as possible the para-medics wasted no time in getting Dave to hospital, where he was checked over by the doctors who said that Dave had sufferred a stroke which had paralised him down the left side of his body.

This evening Saturday 6th Nov I was speaking to Bro James Moodie who had visited Dave and told me that Dave's progress was looking good. In fact,  James said that Dave was able to have a conversation with him, and also that during his visit Dave was able to go to the toilet, un-aided. So hopefully the signs are looking promising, and God willing Dave will make a good recovery.

The Officers and Brothers join

in sending you friendly

thoughts and best wishes for an

early recovery.

We hope that you are feeling

better soon.

F&F..284

I have set up this blog to allow any member of St Peter's to post their best wishes and support for Dave's speedy recovery....

I would also appreciate the kind words from any Brother far and near that would like to offer their words of support...Thank You.

Along with Leslie Maclean, I visitied Dave tonight (Tuesday). We were very pleased to see how well he was coming on and hoping by the end of the week to have word about getting home, which is great news.

Thinking of you Dave and wishing you well.
Take care, wrap up warm over the winter and I look forward to seeing you visiting Tain in the springtime, escorting a deputation from Lodge St Peters, when we treat you to a great day out, and a wee dram for medication!

Thank you to everyone for their best wishes and to those of you who have visited my father in hospital. He has made an amazing recovery and is almost back to his old self. He is up and about and today was seen by the physio and OT and passed all their tests with flying colours. He does not yet have a date for returning home but hopefully he should be discharged by the end of this week. Your support is greatly appreciated. My father is a very determined character and I am confident it will not be too long before he returns to the Lodge and his duties.

A message from Dave's Daughter Ann..
Thank you to all of you who have sent their best wishes and have visited my father David Warren in hospital. Our family really appreciate your support. The good news is he is on the mend and it shouldn't be too long until he is back with you at the Lodge.

Kind Regards,

Ann Mackay & the Warren family
